Doddsy’s Hunting is a family-owned business, where our warm hospitality ensures you’ll feel like part of the family by the time you leave.

We offer a range of accommodation options to suit your preferences. A popular choice is staying at our charming homestead and hunting lodge, located just a 15-minute drive from Lake Wanaka. The lodge is fully equipped with modern amenities, including laundry facilities, Wi-Fi, television, a bar, a cozy indoor fireplace, and an outdoor fire area—providing comfort and relaxation after a day in the field.

Alternatively, if you prefer to stay in Lake Wanaka, you're welcome to arrange your own accommodation. Our experienced guides will pick you up each morning and transport you to the hunting area, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience.

HOMESTEAD/HUNTING LODGE

 

Located in a private wing of the main lodge, the homestead features 4 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and 3 toilets. All meals—breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks—are prepared to an exceptional homemade standard, with beverages available throughout your stay.

APARTMENT CONNECTED TO LODGE​

​Adjacent to the lodge, it offers 2 bedrooms, one with a Queen bed and the other with either a King bed or 2 singles. It includes a bathroom, along with full kitchen facilities, including a dishwasher, gas hob, and oven. Additional amenities include a washing machine, dryer, Sky TV, and Wi-Fi access for your convenience.

Take your family and let them entertain themselves in the stunning Lake Wanaka. With many different activities and sites to see, they will be well entertained, all the while we hunt. There are many great apartments/hotels around the lake front of Wanaka, in close proximities to the local restaurants and shops
