Fallow Buck

Fallow deer are a beautiful animal. Firstly introduced into New Zealand in the 1860's by the settlers from Europe, they quickly established and made their home in low altitude forests and grasslands. They have palmated antlers and come in multiple colours including chocolate, white, menil (with spots). They can be hunted from February-August.
